சிங்கப்பூர் இலக்கிய விருது (மெரிட்) 2018

இந்தக்கணத்தை எனக்களித்த இயற்கைக்கும் தமிழுக்கும் நன்றி. இந்த இலக்கியவிருதை வாசகர் வட்டத்திற்கும், சிங்கப்பூரின் முன்னோடி எழுத்தாளர்களுக்கும் குறிப்பாக பரணன், அ.நா மொய்தீன், முல்லைவாணன், நா.கோவிந்தசாமி போன்றோருக்கும் அர்ப்பணிக்கிறேன்.

வாழ்வியலுக்காகத் தினமும் ஓடவேண்டிய ஒரு பொழுதில் ஏதாவது எழுதவேண்டும் வாசிக்கவேண்டும் என்ற உந்துதலை எனக்கு அளித்தது வாசகர்வட்டமும் இதுபோன்ற மூத்த முன்னோடி எழுத்தாளர்களுமே. குறிப்பாக வாசகர் வட்டத்தின் முன்னோடிகள் ரெ.பாண்டியன், ரமேஷ் சுப்ரமணியன் போன்றோரும் தற்போதைய வாசகர் வட்ட நண்பர்கள் சித்ரா ரமேஷ், ஷா நவாஸ் உள்ளிட்டோருக்கும் என் அன்பு நன்றி.

எழுத்தாளர் ஜெயமோகன் மானசீக உள எழுச்சி தரும் என் ஆசான்களில் ஒருவர். அவருக்கும், சிங்கப்பூரில் வரும் படைப்புகளைப் படித்து அவ்வப்போது விமர்சனங்களைத்தரும் திரு மாலன் அவர்களுக்கும் நன்றி.

இப்புத்தகத்தைப் பதிப்பித்த ”யாவரும்” பதிப்பக நண்பர்கள் ஜீவ கரிகாலன், கண்ணதாசன் உள்ளிட்டோர்க்கும் இப்புத்தகத்துக்கு முன்னுரை வழங்கிய மலேசியாவின் எழுத்தாளர் ம.நவீன், சிங்கப்பூரின் சிவானந்தம் நீலகண்டன் ஆகியோருக்கும் நன்றி.

என் சுகதுக்கங்களில் பங்குகொண்ட, என்னைச்செதுக்கிய குடும்பத்தினர், நண்பர்கள்  ஆகியோருக்கும் என் அன்பு.

சிங்கப்பூர் புத்தக வாரியம், கலைகள் மன்றம், தேசிய நூலகம்  தமிழ்முரசு, வசந்தம் அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி!!

At this beautiful moment of my life, I stand here with all gratitude to the Mighty Nature and my language Tamil.

I am dedicating this award to Vaasagar Vattam, the important reason and inspiration behind my writing especially my friends and fellow writers, R.Pandiyan, Ramesh Subramanian, Chitra Ramesh, Sha Navas and all.

My heartfelt thanks to Yavarum publishers for publishing my book, and to Mr Naveen and Sivanandam for acknowledging my book.

My sincere thanks to Author Jayamohan who taught me to love writing and reviewing and to Mr Maalan, who reads and reviews my writings regularly.

My gratitude and pranams to my family and the men and women who were with me through good and bad times to support and chisel me, my dear friends, I thank you all.

And finally The library board, The book house, Arts house, Vasantham, Tamil Murasu, and all those who are striving for the growth of Tamil in Singapore.

This will inspire me into wider reading, to look more into Singapore “s life and literature, and picture it in my future writing.
